Rainbow International Highlands Staff Spotlight

This week I would like to introduce you to one of our Technicians, Rita Hughes.

Rita has been in the Rainbow family for a number of years. She initially undertook a placement during the summer while still at school and loved it so much, she joined full time straight from school.

Rita has now clocked up an impressive 16 years experience. She did leave Rainbow for a little while to seek pastures new but soon came back as she missed the work and her colleagues.

When she first started, Rita attended Technician Training at our Head Office in Mansfield and was able to apply this training to the jobs on her return. She has also achieved accreditation from the BDMA by passing a rigorous examination, which is no mean feat. She has also undertaken various other training courses eg PAT Testing, Asbestos sampling etc.

Rita skills enable her to help customers who have suffered Fire Damage, Water Damage, She also utilises her skills to  Clean Carpets & Upholstery, and undertake Bio-Hazard cleans and much more.

When asked what her favourite part of the job is, Rita was quick to reply. “I love it when I am coming to the end of a job and the customer is happy, this gives me great job satisfaction as I love making people happy”

Rita does often get positive feedback from customers.

Outwith work, Rita’s passion is travel and music. This year her itchy feet have taken her to New York, Birmingham, Prague and Poland. And has her sights set on Germany and Iceland next. I will clearly have to review her salary if she can afford all these holidays!!

Rita also regularly attends concerts and her favourite artist is Lady Gaga.

Rita’s other passion is photography. She has taken some really good pictures during her travels throughout the country while at work and on holiday.

Rita is a very much valued member of the team, she has a great rapport with her colleagues and customers alike.
